Annual Golf Event

The Ronald McDonald House Golf Committee comes out swinging each year for our children. Led by Co-chairs Bill Paterakis, Northeast Foods Inc. and McDonald's owner/operator Rod Mann, our loyal following of "scratch" golfers enjoy an annual August afternoon at Bulle Rock. The course, the partners, the gift – unparalleled.

Spirit of Children Gala

The Spirit of Children Award is presented only when we find someone in the Maryland community who serves a mission parallel to our own. It is someone who empowers children by creating an atmosphere where children can access the strength and courage they innately mobilize when challenged.

There have been only three Spirit of Children Award Recipients:

  • 1999: David Simon
    Founder of the Baltimore School for the Arts

  • 2001: Dr. Nancy Grasmick
    Maryland's State Superintendent of Schools

  • 2004: Shirley and Brice Phillips
    Founders/Owners of Phillips Restaurants

  • 2006: Joe Ehrmann
    Maryland's Ronald McDonald House

World Children's Day

World Children's Day is an unprecedented simultaneous fundraiser for children held each November in McDonald's 30,000 restaurants in 124 countries.
