unfathomable.
The children are stoic.
Because the pain in their parents' eyes is unbearable –
more disturbing than the illness itself.
We cannot turn away.
We are driven to create a place for children where
an exhilarating moment of joy becomes a second of solace,
a treasured memory for parents, and so too, for the children.
The need is constant.
